Buffy: The Shadows Over Arkham Five players, meets once a week., IRC, 2004 Buffy: The Shadows Over Arkham is set in Arkham, Massachusetts. The same Arkham MA as in HP Lovecraft's stories. The game has been a combination of Lovecraftian horror, making fun of Lovecraftian horror, and Buffy-style soap opera/ It has been going on for over two years now, and is in the middle of its third season. The Actual Play thread is, as of this posting, wildly out of date, but I'll catch up eventually. |

Cassandra the Vampire Slayer Dan Davenport's Buffy game., IRC, 2003 (Watcher) Vicky continues as sounds of Cass training come from the other room. "She, and She alone, stands to fight against all the things that lurk in the shadows." *thud* *thud* *thwack* "All of your nightmares are real, and She is the only thing to protect you." *thud* *thud* *thwack* "She is strong enough and clever enough to fend off the unending army that darkness sends against her." *whisper of someone rolling across the floor* *thwack* "Few have ever heard of Her, and fewer still would ever believe the possibility of Her existence." *backflip, sweepkick* *thud* "But She does exist. And She's Cass." *moo* This is the gaming group used by Dan Davenport for his Buffy RPG reviews. The tales of the adventures of a new Slayer, fresh from Wisconsin. Thrust into Sunnydale to slay evil and make friends, or in whatever order she prefers. As the player of our Watcher says, "BtVS: The RPG. Fluff and angst, with some interludes of ass-kicking." These are the RPG.Net thread-posts of the logs of the sessions, with an occasional interesting extra or two, like theme song, artwork and so forth. OOC comments included as well, since IRC is great for logging sessions. Comments are always welcome. |

Shadow Creek BethDragon's Buffy game., IRC, 2003 Shadow Creek, MT. Like any town, has its secrets...its stories...its things that won't stay buried. Literally. From an aerial viewpoint, Shadow Creek is normal in layout and sprawl. But if one could look with eyes fastened on the ethereal plane...Shadow Creek is a crazed spiderweb of ley-lines, mystical energy. For the most part, the energy goes on its natural way, causing little interaction with your average Creeker. But for the past few years..decades..centuries, someone (or something) has been tampering with the lines, causing some of them to pool their energy under the center of town. Right under the high school, that bastion of learning and angst and childhood trauma. To the average Creeker, this information means about as much as the languages printed in the backs of the manuals that come with your VCR/ These are the logs of BethDragon's Buffyverse game. The Chronicles Weekly Group, Victoria, BC, 2007 There have always been groups of Watchers sent to find out what went wrong when the Slayer or other operatives die. These groups compile what are known as The Chronicles. They invesitgate new threats, and old enemies thought long-dead. They're sent to find out what went wrong, to better prepare the rest of us. Sometimes they have to deal with the results of their investigations personally. This is the story of one of those groups. |

The Watch House Edinburgh, Scotland, 2003 "For centuries the Watchers have trained and studied here, learning to guard an unknowing world from the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness. The Watch House is a Buffy The Vampire Slayer series, running since 2003, about Watchers in training and other people (and beings) drawn into the war against evil in and around Cambridge. It boasts high comedy, deep tragedy, frenzied action and trips to the pub. |
