Welcome
Welcome to ActualPlay.com, a portal for roleplayers everywhere to find written or recorded accounts of RPG sessions from all different game worlds and systems.
What does Actual Play mean?
An Actual Play is a report of a roleplaying game session. Originally a written report put on a forum, blog or website for other gamers to read, more and more gamers are using the power of podcasting to distribute audio actual plays. Checking out actual plays gives you a taste of a game's system, lets you see how others interpret the game world and a glimpse of how other groups play their RPGs.
But why not just play?
Perhaps you can't find a group where you are. Perhaps you have a group but they don't want to play the systems you're interested in. Perhaps you just want to get a taste of lots of different games so you can make an informed choice about them. Or perhaps you're just surfing the net and wouldn't mind wasting a few minutes evesdropping on other gamers out there.
Can I add my own game to ActualPlay.com?
Sure. This site is just a portal and so not only needs visitors to come and read (or listen to or watch) actual plays but gamers who write (or record) actual plays to post links here. Just visit the Add Your Game page to submit your game's actual play.
